Biography

Leonard Emmanuel Katamba is an accomplished leader with over 16 years of progressive experience in driving technology, innovations and operational excellence within the banking and telecom domains.

He is known for developing and executing holistic strategies that merge technology innovation with operational efficiency to drive digital transformative changes that leads to enhanced technology systems performances, cost savings, customer satisfactions, and revenue growth.

Before joining DCB, he worked with Tanzania Commercial Bank and CBA Bank (now NCBA) where he has a proven track record on cross-functional leadership and partnership collaborations on driving Innovation and digital banking transformations.

Among his notable success includes delivery of projects in mobile banking Services, Internet Banking Services, Agency Banking Services, Customer Onboarding Systems, Card Payments, Payments Integrations, Back Office Process Automations and launch of Digital Savings and Digital Lending Products in Partnership with MNOs.

He is a degree graduate in Computer Science from the University of Dar es Salaam with additional training skills on leadership, partnership, process automations, projects management, digital products management and operational excellence.
