Biography

Ms. Regina Mduma has Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from the National University of Lesotho, a masters in Import & Exports Law (LLM in International Trade Law) from the North West University – Potchefstroom Campus in South Africa and currently pursuing her PhD in Cross-Border Banking Insolvencies in the SADC region. She also holds certificates in Short Term and Long-Term insurance from the South African Institute of Insurance. Ms. Regina was appointed as a Chief Legal Manager & Company Secretary in January, 2018. She has (14) years of professional experience in law and in-house legal counsel services. She first enrolled as an Advocate/Attorney at Law in three countries: the Kingdom of Lesotho (2004), Republic of Botswana (2007) and Tanzania (2012). 

Regina has also attended various professional training in continuous legal profession development and in Corporate Governance. Before joining the bank, Regina was working with Excellent Attorneys Advocates as a senior associate and Law School of Tanzania as a part- time trainer. She was in charge of the corporate department of the firm dealing with major enterprises, banks and organizations. Before that she worked in the Republic of Botswana at Thari Legal Shield T/U Penrich Insurance Brokers, a sister company to Bank Gaborone. She started as a legal advisor and later on promoted to Legal Service Manager. Prior to that she was working with Luke & Associates (Attorneys) at Law as an associate for (1) year.
