Biography

Ms. Haika Machaku - Chief Manager Microfinance. She has more than 25-year experience in the Banking Industry, ten years in Managerial position; She has a vast experience in both commercial business as well as Microfinance business. In terms of qualifications she holds a Masters Degree of Business Administrations (MBA) and Postgraduate Diploma in Microfinance (PGDMF) both from The University of Dar es Salaam. She has a Diploma of Banking from Tanzania Institute of Bankers. She attended various training within and outside the Country; Includes Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IODT), Risk Management and Regulatory perspectives, International Exposure training of Mobile and Agency Banking conducted by Kenya School of Monetary Studies, SME study tour conducted in India and Bangladesh, The future of SME Financing CEO & Senior Leaders roundtable SME networking in Istanbul Turkey, Workshop on Housing Finance Conducted at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia USA, Housing Finance for the poor-conducted at Boulder Institute of Microfinance-Turin Italy, Credit Management, Loan Appraisal, sales and Customer care. She is a professional Banker and she did different research in microfinance, credit reference bureau system as well as Credit Risk Management. The first research was about the impact of Microfinance Institution on poverty reduction, case study of Dar es salaam Community bank (DCB), 2007; The second one was about The effectiveness of Credit Information Bureau, a case study of Tanzania Bankers association (TBA), 2010 and the last one was about The Impact of Effective Credit Risk Management on Bank Performance, a case study of Commercial Banks in Tanzania, 2014.
